Vacuum Your Mattress

Clean Solid Surfaces

Wipe down all of the solid surfaces in your home using a mixture of 2 parts water, 1 part vinegar and a few drops of tea tree oil essential oil. Combine the ingredients into a spray bottle, then shake it to blend it evenly. Spray the surfaces of your home with this mixture and wipe down all of these surfaces thoroughly. Kill any living bed bugs you find. The tea tree oil will help kill these pests as well. Clean the surfaces of your home every couple of days until you no longer find bed bugs on these solid surfaces.

Vacuum Carpeting And Other Floors

Vacuum all flooring in your home, especially carpeting where bed bugs may be laying low and traveling from one area to the other in your home. Vacuum every day until you no longer have a problem with these pests. Empty the canister outside, just as you should when vacuuming your mattress.
